With over 10 years of experience in high level business financial management, Rafma Torre is an accomplished Director of Finance/CFO with a comprehensive approach to SEC, international and multi-state businesses.
In her positions as CFO and Director of Finance, Ms. Torre developed a high-energy approach for reducing cash burn, ensuring various types of compliance and innovating techniques to improving financial and operational efficiency. She has handled the numerous challenges of international expansion with a characteristic focus on superior operational accounting and analyses. These led positions at major businesses including Director of Finance at Systemonic, Inc. (acquired by Philips) and 8X8 Inc., both of which are semiconductor publicly traded companies.
Rafma also worked as CFO at Rawson, Blum, & Leon, a multi-faceted real estate organization specializing in the acquisition, development, and management of commercial real estate in San Francisco; as well as a Partner at Merritt Lam, LLC, an International professional Services group, providing interim Accounting and Executive management personnel to middle market and high technology companies.
She is a board member of the American Diabetes Association and Supervisory board at Commonwealth Credit Union. Rafma holds a degree in Computer Science and Business Administration from Ateneo University in the Philippines.
Alberto Onetti is a seasoned serial entrepreneur and co-founded Funambol, Inc., an open mobile source company in Redwood City, CA.
Along the years, Alberto has developed in-depth expertise in the areas of corporate strategy and corporate finance. He acts as consultant for companies and banking groups both in Silicon Valley and Europe.
As University Professor, he currently teaches Business Innovation Management, International Management, and Corporate Strategy at the Business School of the University of Insubria, where he is Head of the Research Center for Health Care Management and Innovation (CrESIT) and Pro-Rector for innovation and academic high-tech spin-offs. Since 2006 he is a Visiting Professor at San Francisco State University. He is author of an extensive list of conference contributions, books and publications in the fields of research. He acts as consultant for companies and banking groups.
As Alumni of the Almo Collegio Borromeo, Alberto Onetti graduated with honors at University of Pavia in 1994. He holds a Ph.D in Corporate Strategy from the Parthenope University in Naples and a Masters in International Finance from University of Pavia.
Clement is the Partner and Co-Founder of MerrittLam, LLC, where he worked with Rafma Torre, who later joined as their Partner in 2007.
Clement has over 20 years of experience as a CEO, VP/Director of Engineering, Sales, Marketing, and Business Development, for both privately and publicly held organizations respectively. Clement has provided early-stage financing to several start-up companies, and has extensive experience in the building stages of young businesses, including exit strategy and execution; business development, sales and marketing; business/product strategy: development and execution. Additionally, Clement has broad horizontal technical knowledge of the semiconductor, communications, and internet and software industries. Clement has expert working knowledge in the Asia Pacific region, specifically Greater China. Clement was interim CEO of Quintic Corporation, a venture-funded start-up in the wireless, semiconductor/mix-signal space. He also held senior executive roles with Anchor Bay Technologies, Intel Corporation/”Co-Founder” Ambient Technologies (acquired by Intel Corp. (NASDAQ: INTC) and a member of the NASDAQ index) and Cirrus Logic, Inc. Clement holds a Master’s and Bachelor’s of Engineering Degrees in engineering physics from McMaster University, Ontario, Canada.
Bernhard Reusch founded TRANSPeRT Logistics and Management in early 2010.
Prior to TRANSPeRT Mr. Reusch is the CEO of East Asia for GeoPost Intercontinental, which is a subsidiary of the French La Poste. In his position, he is tasked with the responsibility of establishing and developing the company’s expansion strategy and overseeing the supply chain management within the East Asian region. Bernhard has gleaned his expansive breadth of knowledge within the supply chain industry from more than 20 years of work experience directly in transportation and supply chain management.
Bernhard holds a Degree in Economics and Transport from the University of Applied Sciences in Germany. He spent five years in research and development focusing public freight, transport and traffic communication.
In 1997 he was appointed to the position of Chief Executive Officer for Benelux and in 2008 took on conquering the new challenge of CEO of East Asia within the GeoPost group. He joined various panels, as well at the World Economic Forum.
